Ordnance Survey is a government agency, responsible for the creation of high quality maps of the UK for a wide range of end users.
The RVL group maintains and operates two aircraft specifically allocated to this contract for the Ordnance Survey, based at Blackpool.
Both aircraft have been painted in the Ordnance Survey corporate colour scheme and the crew consists of an RVL pilot and an OS operator.
Pilots are rostered from the Coventry pool and RVL provides a company flat and company transport to ensure pilots are available on call 24 hours a day as required.
This is a long term contract and operates high definition digital and film cameras for use in aerial mapping.
